Communication encloses a synopsis of the report of operative James [McParlan] (alias James McKenna), who has become a member of the Molly Maguires. McParlan reports from Shenandoah City in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, and the report covers the time period from 1875-04-13 to 1875-05-12. McParlan details, among other things, his investigation into an act of sabotage in which a load of iron had been dumped from a railroad car.
