Red-brick one-room former schoolhouse
# 7 D-9 on the Franklin Map of 1930. Located on the Broadkill Rd. (Rt. 16) near Broadkill Beach off of former Rte. 14 (Rt. 1.)
The school was in service to students until August 1944 when schools were consolidated elsewhere. The building stood idle for 24 years and then was used by the State Board of Elections, and subsequently by the Milton Chamber of Commerce. Eventually, the building was demolished.
