This one-story brick school building in Sussex County contained four classrooms and included an auditorium and gymnasium.
#125 C-9 on the Franklin Map of 1930. This school was likely located near or in Ellendale, Delaware on present day Rt. 113 and near the road from Milton to Greenwood, DE on Rt. 16.
The original school was built in 1895 and provided education for 89 children. Construction on this new building began on April 18, 1928 and was completed on February 5, 1929 at a cost of $34,635.74. Later, 5 rooms were added at a cost of $50,00, allowing the building to accomodate 200 students.
