Experimental crimpers and filament with common motor
Written on verso: 'Experimental crimpers, filament, large size. Built 1-2, 1952. Photographed March 17, 1952. These units have a common drive, 1/3 H.P. motor. Left Unit: rolls 4 1/2' diameter x 1/4' face; saddle shown is for internal work only, to find bore, shape, finishes, etc.; crimped material 100 denier Nylon; front mount on movable roll is a link pivot left roll. Right Unit: rolls 4 1/2 diameter x 1/2' face, same as the original unit; purpose of saddle the same - stainless; right roll moveable. Book 91-86-A. #4 of 6. William D. Hay'
