Spraying chestnut trees at Longwood
In P.S. du Pont's hand on back of image: 'Chestnut tree at Longwood taken by government inspector fall 1912. Trees had been sprayed with Bordeaux mixture of orchard[?] strength about every ten days since March 1912. Apparently no chestnut blight developed during this time though many other apparently healthy trees had succumbed. Dec., 8, '12' 'Spraying apparatus in action'
