Old Time Mining Methods
A miner is here shown illustrating the old time method of boring holes in the face of a coal seam for the explosive charge used to loosen it. This apparatus is suspended by electric or other power drills. Many other aids have been furnished to the miner to improve the speed and efficiency of his work.
