Transport Competition at Anthracite Colliery
Electric railway trains and electrically driven conveyor belts are features of the world's largest anthracite breaker at Locust Summit. The mound in the background is an accumulation of non-combustible material from which Reading Anthracite is freed before it is sent out to heat millions of homes in the U. S. and Canada.
