War Construction in the Desert, Reel 01
Begins with history of Hanford area, in Washington state, where the project was to be constructed. Explains need for workers and the extensive training involved. Shows construction of camp and various buildings. Includes typical Hanford woman's day and typical Hanford man's day. Both segments begin when subjects wake and go through their entire day at the camp. Also includes amenities offered workers such as entertainment and food services. The 300 area is depicted with medical facilities, training and services offered to workers.
POHWARO
Film presenting the POHWARO, or pulsated over heated water rocket, "the new low cost, reloadable booster for aircraft takeoff assistance" developed by Pilatus Flugzeugwerke in Stans, Switzerland. The engines were primarily designed to help aircraft takeoff quickly from short runways under severe weather conditions. Includes an explanation of how thermal energy is created and footage of engine testing operations at the All American test facilities in Georgetown, Delaware.
Charles Lindbergh visits Wilmington
Film depicts Lindbergh flying in to private airport of Henry B. du Pont, the motorcade that brings him to dais with speakers including Delaware Governor Robert P. Robinson and William J. Highfield. Lindbergh speaks at podium then prepares to take off again. Stands for photographs with Henry B. du Pont.
Arrival of Swedish Monument at Wilmington Marine Terminal, cornerstone laying film
Depicts the arrival of the Swedish monument in the Wilmington Marine Terminal during the Tercentenary celebration in 1938 of the first colonization of Delaware by the Swedes. The monument is a statue of the Kalmar Nyckel ship designed by sculptor Carl Milles (1875-1955). The event was attended by Swedish royalty and President Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882-1945).
Charles Lindbergh Flight Across the Atlantic
Newsreel documents Lindbergh's historic flight across Atlantic. Includes footage of previous aviators who tried the trip before him. Also depicts celebrations in Paris and several United States cities after the flight. Last section of film is Lindbergh's hop to Mexico, including preparation, the route and celebration after landing.

Film highlighting two network systems for the UNIVAC computer: ANU and Automatic Digital Network (AutoDin). These systems assist in space travel, submarine tracking, building construction, pollution reduction, weather prediction, crime detection, and medical research.
Army-Navy Instrumentation Program
From the film's illustrated narrative: "The Army-Navy Instrumentation Program (ANIP) was conceived in 1953 for the purpose of providing a new concept of flight data instrumentation which would make possible the optimum use of performance capability and true all weather operation of aircraft. One of the objectives of ANIP was to unburden the pilot by providing carefully designed, artificially generated, more natural displays. The concept is seen to be applicable to many forms of man-machine systems. Developments of the long range program would appear to be applicable to surface vessels, submarines and ground vehicles as well as aircraft."
