Letter from William du Pont to his father reporting the news that the faculty had decided not to let him continue at MIT and not to give him any special treatment in spite of the medical condition of his eyes that caused him to fail his examinations. William expresses the pain he feels at the thought of his father's disappointment and skepticism of William's level of effort at school.
