Written on verso: '1909 Matheson Model 17. one of the early 6 cylinder cars of Kenan design. On routine test in Pocono Mts. near Wilkes-Barre. Driver was Guy Reynolds--later a famous racing driver, who died in 1942. Co-driver was Douglas Scott of Forty Fort.'
Note with image: 'Three cars undergo the 'mechanical roll test' simultaneously at the end of the final assembly line in General Motors' new plant at Fremont, Calif. After each car is positioned on the 'rolls' (four large revolving drums recessed in the plant floor) it is put through a cycle of acceleration, deceleration and braking to check engine, transmission, suspension and brakes for proper operation.
