Laura and Jim Beers, probably friends or acquaintances of Frank Zebley, owned a farm in Cecil County, Maryland. In 1936, the farm was purchased by William du Pont, Jr. and became part of his estate. Later, du Pont's heirs sold the land to the State of Maryland, and site is now the Fair Hill Natural Resource Management Area.
