About this collection

Charles "Brel" Brelsford McCoy (1909-1995) served as the president of the DuPont Company from 1967 to 1973 and as chairman of its board of directors from 1971 to 1973.

The collection also contains a significant number of materials documenting the role that DuPont played in easing racial tensions and facilitating the integration of Wilmington, Delaware in the aftermath of the Wilmington Riot of 1968. This collection has not been digitized in its entirety.
