The photograph is a studio portrait of a group of 15 women in various national costumes. The names of the women are written on the mat below the photograph. They are Julia Maull, Natalie Wilson, Ellen Lammotte, Isabel Wales, Virginia Cooper, Marguerite Garland, Mary du Pont, Ebbie Smith, Elsie Swift, Emma Swift, Irene du Pont, Helen Massey, Louisa du Pont, Alice Lea, and Ethel Gause.
This photograph was probably taken on October 25, 1898 and presumably shows a group of performers from The Temple of Fame, a show produced at the Grand Opera House in Wilmington, Delaware for the benefit of the Delaware Hospital.
