Du Pont family miscellany (Longwood)

About this collection

The du Pont family miscellany collection is part of the Longwood Manuscripts collection (Accession LMSS) of family papers assembled by Pierre S. du Pont (1870-1954) for his Longwood Library collection. Now held at Hagley Library, the Longwood Manuscripts collection is divided into ten collection groups. This, the ninth of those groups, contains business and personal papers related to the family and E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company.
The Du Pont family miscellany (Accession LMSS.IX) collection is organized into three series: Correspondence, business, and personal documents (personal letters between family members, promissory notes, and business correspondence); Copies and extracts of correspondence and other documents (transcripts of various authors' biographies of Du Pont de Nemours and personal family correspondence); and Illustrative materials (sketches and drawings, scale drawings and diagrams, and plats of land). This collection has not been digitized in its entirety.
