French Airmen Rescued from Sahara
Text on verso: 'Hundreds were on hand to give a warm welcome to the three French aviators, Reginensi, Youge, and Lenier, who for six days wandered helplessly in the heart of the Sahara Desert after their plane had been forced down on a trans-African flight. Forced to ration their food and water, the fliers were exhausted when found by Col. Vuillemin, commander of the French Air Force in Africa. Above photo shows the three airmen as they were welcomed back at Le Bourget Field, Paris. Left to right: Roger Lenier, Jean Reginensi, holding his daughter; and Joseph Touge.'
