Mess Hall, one of eight in construction camp, served meals family style to 45,000 contraction workers. In one 18 month period they dished out 10 million eggs, 1.5 million pounds of chicken, 2.3 million pounds of beef, 2.3 million loaves of bread, 4.5 million pounds of pork and ham and 600,000 pounds of coffee.

The worlds most published captive balloon, emblem of the Republican Party, on the Marquee of the Bellevue Stratford Hotel in Philadelphia during recent Republican National Convention. The rubber effigy collapsed on several occasions to the delight of Democratic adherents but regained his robust health with a blowout patch treatment and a transfusion of air from a vacuum cleaner.
