- Description

Kansas City MO-Under the heading of The Motor Car's Watering Trough the Kansas City Star's automobile editor describes the pioneer filling station in 1910: The little wooden shed that is the office is also the end of a small pipe line. From there runs a metal tube which connects with the motor car's gasoline tank. A miniature refinery removes the grease and paraffin from the ordinary gasoline to make its producer 'non-carbon' gas.

A new glass-like plastic is used to form the hood, fenders and outer body panels of the card, a Pontiac deluxe 6. Inspecting it are (left to right) Thomas P. Archer, Fisher Body director of operations; Edward F. Fisher, general manager of the automotive concern's body-building division; and William S. McLean, director of advertising. The car is said to be complete in every detail, and could be driven out on the highway should the occasion demand.

Due to the extreme care used from the picking of the fruit to the final packing and sealing, the product cannot and does not compete with the imported article primarilt hadndled by oriental methods but the American public shows it is willing to pay a higher price for a good article cleanly and carfull packged. Date production is so limited that adance orders absord the fruit as soon as it is available for distubution.
