Burns examine scale model of a tracking radar designed for the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) on which RCA is prime contractor. Chairman Sarnoff reported in a Year-End Statement that construction of BMEWS sites in the Far North is moving ahead on schedule. He also disclosed that RCA's sales were up 17 per cent and profits 29 per cent in 1959."
