Months ahead of schedule, the Vega Aircraft Corporation plant in Burbank CA is now in full mass production of B-17 Flying Fortresses for the U.S. Army Air Forces. Vega was the first to make deliveries of these heavy bombers under a pooled facilities agreement with two other aircraft manufactures and is now pushing production ahead on a 24 hours schedule. Photo shows Vega employees looking on proudly and enthusiastically while one of the four engine sky giant moves off the line during the noon...

These are the bigwigs, an evening conference along a pasture fence. From left to right: Mr. Barmhart farm superintendent. Chas Reed, Rutgers agriculture engineer. Harry Besley, Rutgers agriculture engineer. Mr. Mozur. Carl Benley, Rutgers grass expert. The real truth of the matter it got so dark from a coming storm when I got there I had to flash outdoors as this was the only chance to get them together. I had to come back when it was clear another day to finish the picture.
