Bremer and Duffy go on to talk about their time at Pioneer Point on the weekends, summers, and holidays. The three children reminisce about their father, the games he would play with them, and talk about when he conceived of the DuPont Highway and worked on it with Pierre du Pont. The children tell a story about their father helping a man in a broken down Chrysler, and then calling GM about it. The children recall visiting their father in New York City and going to see Broadway shows and operas. They tell the story of how their parents met and the proposal. Bremer and Duffy recount their experience being in the hospital to have their tonsils out in 1928. Bremer describes visiting her father in his apartment at the Ritz Carlton and his office at the Empire State Building. They describe Skipper and Alice du Pont being close and enjoying gardening together, specifically at Longwood. They share a story about their father's funeral where a Packard automobile broke down, and joked that their father "was up there saying they should have gotten a GM." They describe his enjoyment of gambling, winning, and being right, though he enjoyed people standing up to him. The children talk about their college educations. They discuss their mother, Skipper moving to Camp Melody Pine in North Carolina and then to Arizona in 1938 with their sister, Nina Bennett. They share stories of memories of their mother at Camp Melody Pine and her hunting. While the three children talk about being unaware of their family's wealth, Duffy tells a story about her father buying her a dress and fur coat. They talk about being given an allowance and having to keep books. They recount the death of their siblings, Yvonne, Bill, and Catherine. They explain about their brother Bill being friends with Jack Corcoran, and how Jack came to be part of the family. Ben Raskob recalls finding out in high school that he had dyslexia. They discuss their siblings weddings. They explain that the servants that worked in the home they grew up were not thought of as servants, but rather as family, and how the children made their own beds, cleaned their own rooms, did some of the cooking. Finally, they talk a little about their father being part of the Democratic Party and Governor Al Smith's run for president.
