Text on verso: 'The New York State Medal of Valor was conferred upon Colonel Charles Lindbergh, by Governor Al Smith of NY, in Central Park, New York City, after the youthful hero, accompanied by his mother, had been paraded up Broadway, and Fifth Avenue, while 2,000,000 people went wild in their demonstrations. This photo shows l to r: George Graves - Sec. to the Governor, Gov. Al. Smith, Lindy, with Mrs. Al. Smith at the right, during the presentation speech and reply, which was 'broadcasted.'
