From a rather plain, cellophane-wrapped package (upper left), wherein the cake itself attracts attention, the development progresses to the final stage where every side of the package tells an important story.

Carpet, upholstery, lamp shades, drapes-it's all nylon in The Nylon Suite, a new deluxe feature of the Hotel DuPont. The draperies are made of F. Schumacher & Company floral patter screen print. Predominantly grey in tone, the drapes are all nylon twill, lined with white nylon twill. When pulled aside, the chairs and days beds are upholstered in Schumacher's nylon organzine damask of equal parts of spun and continuous filament yarn. The floors of the suite are covered with James Lees and Sons...

Generations of wig makers and doll manufacturers sought hair that could be washed without matting and combed without falling out. Recently, they found it in nylon. Nylon wig (left) and wig of conventional material are shown before and after shampooing and in the process of being combed, Note matted hair in the old style wig and the tangle of hair in the comb. The comb slipped easily through the lustrous nylon monofilaments.
