Text on verso: 'A type of dirigible used by the Italian Navy for scount duty along the Adriatic. Many ships have been saved by the quick work of these dirigibles which have discovered Teuton U. boats and flashed a warning to the endangered craft.'

Recently Police Commissioner, after a conference with Deputy Commissioner Rodman Wanamaker, who heads the reserves, decided to have an aeroplane corps to protect New York in case of air raids or to act as messenger should communications be interrupted by a great catastrophe. Photo shows Namack after a flight, a number of which he has made during the past few days to demonstrate his ability to pass all tests as a policeman air-pilot. When the police air-squad begins its duties, Namack expects to be one of the regular fliers.'
