Description: Depicts the arrival of the Swedish monument in the Wilmington Marine Terminal during the Tercentenary celebration in 1938 of the first colonization of Delaware by the Swedes. The monument is a statue of the Kalmar Nyckel ship designed by sculptor Carl Milles (1875-1955). The event was attended by Swedish royalty and President Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882-1945).

Film is associated with Harvey Price Sommerer (1911-2007) or his father; Harvey worked as a buyer for the Victor Talking Machine Company of Japan in Yokohama, Japan from 1930 to 1937 alongside his father Harry Leadom Sommerer (1885-1956), the managing director of the Victor company's plant in Yokohama, Japan. Both left Japan when RCA sold its majority stake in the Victor Talking Machine Company of Japan (later to become JVC) when the Japanese invaded China in 1937.

After 1937, the younger Sommerer worked for RCA Victor in Camden, New Jersey as chief buyer in the home instrument department. The elder returned to Camden as well, and became the Manager of Manufacturing for RCA plants, and also oversaw subcontracting operations on war work.
