Norris, a solicitor of American and foreign patents, writes that the first six years of Edwards' Canadian patent has passed, and consequently Edwards will need to pay the Government fee for the next term in order to keep the patent active. Norris states, however, that the patent will have lapsed if Edwards did not commence manufacture of the skirt supporter in Canada during the first two years after the patent was granted.

Trees had been sprayed with Bordeaux mixture of orchard[?] strength about every ten days since March 1912.
