Note by Macklem dated 1928 March 9: "In the background can be seen the residence of E.I. du Pont de Nemours, erected by him early in the last century and occupied by him as a home until the time of his death, after which his second son Henry du Pont lived here until his death in August 1889. The property now belongs to the estate of Col. Henry A. du Pont, the oldest son of Henry du Pont."

In a letter to her cousin, Rudisill writes that she was sorry Edwards had a tiresome journey to St. Paul and expresses surprise and gratitude to Edwards for the contents of her last letter, remarking that she 'felt paid by having my waists made.'

Personal letter from a friend of Nora Edwards, in which she writes of her grandmother's recent illness and death as well as her own recent wedding. She gives a description of her new husband, whom she met at the Diamond Garment Cutting School in Monroe. She also sends three fabric swatches, one each from her wedding dress, house dress, and traveling dress.
