If so, the larger, single-arch stone bridge visible in the distance was one constructed in 1892 to support a sewer line from Chestnut Hill that needed to cross the Cresheim Valley and Cresheim Creek before emptying into the Wissahickon Creek. The wooden footbridge, visible below the larger bridge, would be the Cresheim Creek Bridge.
