On verso: 'The main station in Fall River of the N.Y.N.H. & H. [New York, New Haven & Hartford] R.R. is located at North Main Street, between Bylies and Pearce Streets. It is built of granite and red sandstone, and was erected in 1891 at a cost of $50,000. A few years ago the grade crossings were abolished within the city limits, and the station was raised seven feet from its original foundation. This was considered a wonderful feat of engineering.'
