A view of part of the Toledo, Ohio plant of the DuPont Company's Electrochemicals Department. Formaldehyde produced here goes chiefly to the plastics industry where it is used as an important raw material in the manufacture of phenol, urea and melamine formaldehyde resins. Formaldehyde is also made in DuPont Plants at Perth Amboy, New Jersey and Belle, West Virginia.
