Photo shows from left to right, Captain Street, who headed the American fliers on their flight to Alaska and return, Col. Kilner, Lieut. Wade, Major Rader, and Gen. Patrick who are all examining the model of the Douglas Cruiser plane that will be used in the flight. On the table are models of the well-known French heliocopter which has just established a record for that type of machine, and a Martin Bomber which was at first chosen for the flight but later rejected on account of having twin motors which would probably cause trouble.'

This photo shows Elvia Bareta, a malaria victim being taken from the plane at Albrook Field, C.Z. for transportation to the hospital.'
