Members of the supervisory staff of the new Circleville, Ohio plant for manufacture of Mylar polyester film held their first meeting recently in Buffalo, New York where the film is being made in experimental quantities. The Circleville plant is now approaching 25% completion and is expected to start operations in the latter part of 1954.

Preliminary proposals call for a 34 story structure with four stories of marble and bronze covering the entire street area from 52nd Street to 53rd Street on the east side of Park Avenue. The projected skyscraper, which will cost in excess of $15 million, is scheduled for completion in 1957, the year marking the 100th anniversary of the House of Seagram. Plans for the building were announced for the first time at the Seventh Annual Meeting of Seagram-Distillers Company held at the Waldorf-Astoria during the week of July 12, 1954.

Walter O. Simon (left) director of production and John L. Brill, technical director of the DuPont Company's Film Department, inspect a scale model of the chemical building which will be part of the $10 million plant which the company will build near Circleville, Ohio for the manufacture of Mylar polyester film. The chemical building, of open steel frame construction, will be five stories high. Construction is to start early in 1953 and the plant is expected to go into production early in 1955.
