Nelson Olmsted tells the story of how the process for refining aluminum was discovered by Charles Martin Hall and Professor Frank Jewett at Oberlin College in 1886. The original "buttons" of aluminum that were produced from this discovery are called the "Crown Jewels of Oberlin." Supervised by Stuart Buchanan.
