Mrs. Virginia Duncan, librarian at the DuPont Company Lavoisier Library, examines a collection of ancient books written by Lavoisier, known as the 'father of modern chemistry'. Mrs. Duncan spent 18 months accumulating this group of the great chemist's works, chasing them down through antique and book dealers here and abroad.
