Title: Testing motor fuels at DuPont's Petroleum Laboratory

Description: In an effort to find out more about motor fuels, lubricant and engine performance, a test car is driven for miles on an instrumented treadmill under simulated road conditions at DuPont's Petroleum Laboratory. The treadmill can be tilted to any desired grade and a wide tunnel in the background simulates the windage on a moving car. In other tests, a fleet of cars and trucks are driven thousands of miles under actual road conditions.
