- Using cold rivets
- Date(s)
- 1945
- Contributor(s)
- E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company (originator)
- Description
-
Aluminum alloy rivets in the little cellophane envelope at the left will remain cold and therefore are drivable for an hour or an hour and a half, because of the insulating property of the cellophane, instead of only a half hour, as was the case when they were left in open pans. This saves the woman riveter steps- she doesn't have to go to the refrigerator for a new supply so often. And she doesn't drop or return so many.
