Warren Guthrie hosts this film exploring the history of towboats used on the Ohio River. Contrary to the name, towboats did not actually tow anything, but pushed huge barges along their fronts. These work boats were largely reposonsible for bringing modern transport shipping to the river, carrying millions of tons of products each year.
