At this plant near Victoria, Texas, the DuPont produces nylon intermediates, polyethylene and ammonia in open type buildings. The plant was built in 1951 and has expended several times. Its initial product was adiponitrile, a nylon intermediates. The second manufacturing unit, to produce Alathon polyethylene resin, went on stream in 1961.
