Beelen" is possibly Anthony Beelen, a Pittsburgh merchant who established the city's first attempted iron foundry, Eagle Foundry, around 1864. Beelen also operated a white lead manufactory around this time. He later identified himself in city directories as a merchant, and was at one time a director of the Bank of Pennsylvania.
